RAIN RETURNS THIS WEEK WITH THREE SYSTEMS
The Bay Area is anticipated to experience the impact of three weather systems throughout the week, each bringing varying degrees of rainfall. As per the National Weather Service, the first system is forecasted to bring light to moderate rain from Wednesday into Thursday. Subsequently, the second and third systems are expected to be more significant, potentially bringing heavier rainfall to the region from Friday into early next week.
Forecasters are cautioning residents to prepare for periods of moderate to heavy rain and gusty winds during the arrival of the second and third weather systems. These systems are anticipated to bring the potential for minor flooding and downed tree branches across the region. Coastal areas may see rainfall totals ranging from four to six inches, while lower elevations could receive one to two inches of rainfall. Additionally, gusts of at least 25 mph are expected to sweep through the area. However, forecasters do not anticipate these systems to be as severe as the weather disturbances experienced by the Bay Area earlier this month.
