San Francisco's District 4 Supervisor Beya Alcaraz resigned after being appointed by Mayor Daniel Lurie seven days ago, officials said.
Alcaraz announced her resignation as the Sunset supervisor Thursday with a statement that reads in part, "I believe that my community deserves someone who will work 24/7 to advocate for us. Alcaraz was appointed by Lurie on Nov. 6 after former Supervisor Joel Engardio was recalled by voters.
