SJ MAYOR MAHAN ANNOUNCES RUN FOR GOVERNOR

On Thursday San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan announced his candidacy for state governor. "I'm running for governor of California because we can do better," Mahan said at a press event Thursday.

Hours after making the announcement public Thursday morning via a post on social media, Mahan spoke at a news conference at Evans Lane, one of the temporary housing facilities he's spearheaded as mayor, and the same kind of facility he gave tours to many of the other candidates for governor just weeks ago.
