San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie on Monday is set to make a "public safety announcement," as he follows through with another campaign promise.
Lurie scheduled a news conference for 9:30 a.m. Monday to announce a program for safe firearms storage and disposal for San Francisco families involved in volatile custody disputes and other high-risk situations.
