SPOT FIRE BURNS MORE THAN 300 ACRES IN MARIN COUNTY

Multiple spot fires ended up burning approximately 340 acres in Marin County on Sunday, the Marin County Fire said. The fire department said at around 4:40 p.m. crews responded to reports of a vegetation fire near Chileno Valley Road, around four miles south of Tomales Road, in the Chileno Valley area.

Upon arrival, the fire department said it was determined there were multiple spot fires. The forward progress of one of the smaller ones was stopped at around 4:50 p.m., while the forward progress of the two remaining fires was stopped just before 7 p.m. Authorities said the spot fires burned approximately 340 acres combined.
