UGADI IS SYMBOL OF RICH CULTURE HERITAGE OF TELUGU PEOPLE
High Court judge Justice U Durgaprasada Rao has said that Ugadi festival is a reflection of the rich heritage, culture and traditions of Telugu people. Festivals are celebrated to make the younger generation know about the roots of their cultural heritage. Justice Durgaprasada Rao and justice Boppudi Krishna Mohan Rao participated in Ugadi festivities organized by Sahiti Samakhya here on Tuesday.
District collector M Venugopala Rao presided over the event which was monitored by Sahiti Samakhya president Dr DVSB Rammurthy and general secretary SVS Lakshminarayana. Hundreds of people who attended the programme did not move out of the auditorium despite the fact that it lasted for more than four and half hours as they enjoyed the addresses of several literary legends. Speaking on the occasion, Justice Durgaprasada Rao said that people should never forget their art forms, culture and traditions.
