Working past midnight, the Supreme Court's three-member collegium headed by CJI DY Chandrachud recommended the names of seven judges to the Centre on Thursday for their appointment as chief justices of high courts - among them a judge of the Allahabad HC who on appointment would be the country's lone woman CJ.The collegium of CJI Chandrachud and Justices Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Sanjiv Khanna recommended the appointment of Justice Sunita Agarwal as chief justice of Gujarat, the post that fell vacant on the retirement of Justice Sonia J Gokani.
