MICHAEL J. FOX: HOW TO HONOR MUHAMMAD ALI

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. The author of those immortal words is no more. Muhammad Ali died on Saturday at the age of 74 from Parkinson’s disease. For most of his life, Ali had been in the spotlight for this disease along with fellow Parkinson’s patient Michael J Fox. Ali was an inspiration to so many who suffer from Parkinson’s. His toughness, his equanimity in the face of despair was something everyone wanted to emulate. Michael J Fox writes in his piece that the best way to honor this fighter is to continue to make advances towards the elimination of Parkinson’s. As Ali once said, “Impossible is not a declaration. It is a dare”.
