NIGHTMARE INITIATION IN AUSTRALIAN MILITARY

Specifically, the commission is investigating the reports of rape coming out of the training center dubbed HMAS Leeuwin. 111 victims have come forward claiming abuse, some from when they were as young as 15. One man recalled being snatched from his bed, forced to rape other soldiers, then being raped himself. In a chilling recollection, he remembers asserting that it was better to get it over and done. When reported to higher authorities, the victims were often pushed aside.
