The 2028 MLB All-Star Game will be played in San Francisco's Oracle Park, adding another major sporting event to the Bay Area's calendar. The San Francisco Giants and Mayor Daniel Lurie's office confirmed the game is scheduled for July 12.
The last time the All-Star Game was played at the Giants' ballpark was in 2007. The announcement comes amid a busy stretch for Bay Area sports, with the region also hosting Super Bowl LX, the 2025 NBA All-Star Game and the FIFA World Cup 2026. Lurie celebrated the announcement on social media, pointing to the city's focus on public safety and clean streets."We've made public safety our top priority since day one, and we're delivering safe and clean streets for residents and visitors," Lurie said. "Now, people want to be here again."
