The 49ers' workhorse is back on track. Christian McCaffrey was announced as the winner of the 2025 AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year award at the NFL Honors presentation Thursday for his resurgent season.
The San Francisco star running back finished with 31 first-place votes ahead of Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, who received nine first-place votes. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (six) and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (two) also received first-place votes, along with Indianapolis Colts QB Philip Rivers and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave with one apiece.
