WARRIORS WERE CLOSE TO KAWHI LEONARD TRADE BEFORE CLIPPERS PULLED OUT

The Warriors reportedly tried hard to acquire multiple veteran superstars before the NBA's Feb. 5 trade deadline. Golden State seemingly pushed all its chips in for Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, and also had interest in Los Angeles Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard.

Not only did the Warriors have interest in Leonard, but they came close to landing the seven-time All-Star.
