49ERS STAR GEORGE KITTLE, NICK BOSA REPORTEDLY TRAVELING WITH TEAM TO AUSTRALIA

The 49ers received, perhaps, their most encouraging sign that George Kittle will play in their Week 1 international game against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. “I would assume so," Kittle said on Aug. 16 when asked if his Australia travel status would indicate whether or not he plans to play Week 1. "I mean, that probably makes the most sense. I would assume.”

Of course, that was weeks ago, and certainly is far from a binding indicator, but Kittle, who is recovering from a torn Achilles suffered on Jan. 11, indeed will travel with San Francisco to Australia on Wednesday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday morning.
