Hundreds of Kaiser health care workers are expected to walk off the job Monday morning.

More than 600 registered nurses and midwives will participate in a 24-hour walkout at Kaiser Oakland and 19 other hospitals across Northern California. They have been negotiating for a new a contract to replace the one that expires at the end of this month.
