INFRA THRUST WILL SPUR $67 BILLION INVESTMENT IN NATURAL GAS SECTOR
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the unprecedented investment opportunities available in India's energy sector during the second edition of the India Energy Week (IEW). He emphasized the significant funding earmarked for the development of modern infrastructure, particularly in the energy sector, which is expected to attract $67 billion in investment over the next five to six years. PM Modi underscored the government's commitment to infrastructure development, citing the substantial investments allocated for this purpose in the current financial year. He mentioned that the government has pledged to invest Rs 11 lakh crore in infrastructure, building on the Rs 10 lakh crore invested in the previous financial year. The Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of energy in supporting various infrastructure projects, including railways, roadways, waterways, and housing.
