Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday resigned from the Vice-President post, citing health concerns and the need to follow medical advice. In his resignation letter, he said the decision was taken to "prioritise health care" in light of ongoing health issues.
“To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as the Vice-President of India, effective immediately, in accordance with Article 67(a) of the Constitution,” Dhankhar wrote in a letter addressed to President Droupadi Murmu.
