KARAN RAJENDRA DARDA ELECTED INS PRESIDENT FOR 2026-27

Karan Rajendra Darda of Lokmat was elected president of The Indian Newspaper Society (INS) for 2026-27 at the organisation’s 87th annual general meeting held in New Delhi on Monday. The INS, the apex body of publishers of newspapers, magazines and periodicals in the country, said Darda succeeds Vivek Gupta of Sanmarg as president.

Darda, executive director of Lokmat Media Group, said he would work towards protecting press freedom, strengthening the newspaper industry, encouraging innovation and ensuring that all members, irrespective of their size, have an equal voice.“Together, we will make Indian journalism stronger and future-ready,” Darda said.
