PG&E said it transferred 6,000 customers back to the grid early Monday morning after a planned power outage in San Francisco's Richmond District and Golden Gate Park late Sunday.
The purpose of the outage was to remove temporary generators in the neighborhood and to put those neighbors back on the grid. Seven temporary generators were installed on Dec. 22 at 24th Avenue and Balboa in Richmond, temporarily providing power to around 6,000 customers following a citywide outage the previous week.
