High fire danger has prompted PG&E to issue a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) watch across California, including parts of the Bay Area.
The utility implements proactive shutoffs to power down equipment in areas where there are weather conditions that could spark wildfires. The possible shutoffs come amid a heat advisory issued this week for the Bay Area's interior locations.
