Randy's Donuts, a Los Angeles-based chain, opened its first Bay Area location Friday morning in Santa Clara. Randy's is located at 2595 Homestead Rd. – right across the street from Stan's Donut Shop, a local favorite since 1959.
The grand opening of Randy's took place at 7 a.m, with over 500 in line to get a taste of a Southern California staple. The first 25 customers got free doughnuts and swag from the owners. All customers who arrive before 12 p.m. will receive a free glazed raised doughnut. Randy's is known for its lengthy menu, which includes raised, buttermilk and premium doughnuts.
