SAN FRANCISCO FLOWER MARKET CELEBRATES AHEAD OF LUNAR NEW YEAR

The Chinese New Year Flower Market was in full swing in San Francisco on Saturday. Despite the cloudy skies, the event drew a large crowd. Attendees had the opportunity to purchase flowers, as well as enjoy a variety of food and home goods. Cultural performances added to the festive atmosphere of the event.

The fair is typically held on the weekend preceding Lunar New Year, which is also known as Chinese New Year, and will take place next Saturday. The flowers at the fair symbolize growth, and a bloom on New Year’s Day is seen as an auspicious sign, representing a year of prosperity.
