SFO TERMINAL 1 REOPENS FOLLOWING SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE INVESTIGATION

A suspicious package investigation evacuated and temporarily shut down a departures lobby Friday at San Francisco International Airport, authorities said.

Police said at 8:15 a.m. officers at the airport responded to Terminal 1 departure level for a report of a suspicious package. The response and investigation prompted an evacuation of the area, according to police.
