SHIROMANI AKALI DAL ACCEPTS SUKHBIR BADAL'S RESIGNATION AS PARTY CHIEF

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) working committee on Friday accepted Sukhbir Singh Badal's resignation as party president, according to party officials. This decision followed the directive from Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh in early December, urging SAD to implement the December 2 edict regarding Badal's resignation.

The acceptance took place during a working committee meeting at the party headquarters. After the acceptance of his resignation, Badal expressed gratitude to party workers and leaders for their support.
