A community in Oakland came together to collect money and donations for Venezuela following the deadly twin eartquakes that struck the country; now, they are asking for volunteers to help sort those donations. It has been four days since the deadly earthquakes that killed more than 1,400 in Venezuela. Workers at Oakland’s Arepas restaurant have been collecting money and donated supplies.
The hundreds of boxes they have include food, medicine, clothing and diapers. However, organizers said that right now, the biggest need is for volunteers.
Some volunteers are also needed to guard over the donations that have been arriving every day.
